Like blogging, becoming a speaker wasn’t on my bucket list. But life throws fastballs and I had a choice. Be intimidated by the pitch or take a swing. I’m taking the swing.

What can I discuss as a speaker? The same general topic that I address in my blog, “The Accidental Blogger.” Adversity happens to everyone. The difference between overcomers and those who become immobilized or embittered is how they view the hardship. Do they turn within or do they look beyond. Do they use their loss—whatever it may be—to help others? Try something new? Make a difference? My message is one of hope and reinvention.
